Therapy for the Whole You
At Greenwich Advanced Counseling, we draw on diverse approaches and timeless wisdom to foster healing, growth, and lasting change.
New Name, Same Compassionate Care
We are excited to share our new name and officially introduce ourselves as Greenwich Advanced Counseling. While our name has changed, our commitment to compassionate, high-quality care remains the same. Just as we walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth, we too continue to evolve. Advanced means we draw from a range of therapeutic models, current research, and the timeless wisdom to support lasting healing and personal growth. It signals our ongoing pursuit of excellence, depth, and compassion in every aspect of care.
Your Path to Hope and Renewal
Healing is a process, and we commit to walking alongside you every step of the way.
At Greenwich Advanced Counseling, we offer therapy both in-person and virtually to individuals, couples, and families. We serve all ages, with therapists who focus on particular life stages: adolescence, college, parenting, empty-nesting, and the later years.
Our therapists are licensed in Connecticut and New York, and their specialties include anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, addiction, and marriage therapy. When you work with us, you will receive a comprehensive assessment and a customized treatment plan. Our goal is that you feel hopeful right from the beginning of our work together, knowing our team is here to support you.
Therapy That Honors Your Whole Self
We believe that truly effective counseling goes beyond surface-level solutions. It involves understanding and supporting the whole person.
Our Therapists
Our team of licensed therapists provides personalized, evidence-based care to support your emotional well-being. We’re here to help you navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.
Fee and Financial Assistance
At Greenwich Advanced Counseling we believe therapy should be affordable for everyone. We know how hard it is to find the right therapist, and we know how disappointing it can be when that therapist is out of your price range or does not take your insurance. This is why we make our therapy affordable by offering a tiered pricing structure, that makes it possible for you to see the therapist you need, regardless of your ability to pay.
How We Help
We help our clients make sense of life’s challenges—whether you’re coping with anxiety, depression, grief, or searching for purpose and direction—we support your healing and growth while honoring the values and beliefs that make you who you are.
Meeting You Where You Are
Whether you prefer in-person or virtual sessions, we have you covered. Many of our clients come weekly for a 50 minute session, while others bi-monthly or as needed. For clients looking for concentrated work, we offer intensives and weekend retreats.
For those looking for community support we provide small groups, and we partner with local organizations to host lectures and workshops on specific topics of mental and emotional health. Regardless of where you find yourself, we meet you there, providing compassionate care customized to your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I need therapy?
Therapy is beneficial throughout one’s life, but often people seek it out when a specific event of life stage brings up challenging dynamics or complex feelings. For example: a significant transition in your family, a career change, an illness. People also seek out therapy to help with issues like anxiety, depression, addiction, challenges with parenting or on-going marital conflict. If you aren’t sure, reach out to us, and we can help you determine the next right step for you.
What can I expect?
You may contact our therapists directly or reach out to our office to schedule a consultation with our Clinical Director, Joe O’Callaghan, who will learn more about your needs and what you are looking for. Joe will match you with one of our therapists, who will work with you to schedule your first appointment. We do all of our paperwork, billing, and scheduling through an online client portal, and your therapist will help setup your account. Our appointments are 50 minutes.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance, but we will provide you with a receipt that you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Our fees range depending on each therapist’s level of experience, but it is our goal to make therapy accessible and therefore affordable for everyone.
