Katie Troyer
Katie Troyer is a spiritual director, offering a grounded, compassionate presence to individuals at every stage of their faith journey. She holds a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Murphy Center at Fairfield University and brings both contemplative and evocative approaches to her work, creating a safe and reflective space for deep listening, discernment, and honest conversation. Rooted in Ignatian spirituality, Katie often incorporates prayer practices that invite greater awareness of God’s presence in everyday life.
In spiritual direction with Katie, clients can expect a nonjudgmental and confidential space with no agenda — a place to explore the “life in your life” and notice how God is already at work. She listens attentively and reflects back the spiritual movements emerging in your experiences, honoring your unique religious background or belief system. Her approach encourages freedom to discover your deepest desires, move toward inner peace during difficult seasons, and make choices aligned with your truest self.
In addition to her work as a spiritual director, Katie has served as a worship leader throughout Fairfield County for over ten years, partnering with numerous churches and mentoring worship leaders with care and creativity. She also meets weekly with survivors of human trafficking, leading a creativity group that uses art as a pathway toward healing and expression. Katie’s own artwork reflects this commitment to beauty and restoration and can be seen displayed throughout the counseling center.
In her free time, Katie enjoys cooking, traveling, and adventuring with her husband.
Spiritual direction has been a gift in my life, and a way for me to move my faith from my head to my heart. Now as a spiritual director myself, it is a privilege to listen to another’s story and, with them, recognize and savor the healing love of God moving in their lives.
